Welcome to another dish of digital camera reminiscence, and today we're celebrating like it's 1999 by reviewing the classic Dslrs R1 and r2, the first DSLR that Dslrs fully developed and constructed themselves. Let's take a look at the D1's appearance, feel, and performance more than 20 years after its initial announcement on this page and in the video below.

By no means was the D1 the first digital SLR to hit the market. Since the mid 1980s, Company had been altering Dslr film SLRs with their own electronics, gradually progressing to the DCS 400 series in the 1990s, which was based on F90 or N90 bodies. When it was introduced in 1995, the DCS 460, their flagship model at the time, cost an eye-watering $39,500. It had an industry-leading 6.2 Megapixel sensor and a remarkably moderate stickers crop.

The same year, Camera collaborated on another DSLR project, with a large portion of the electronics coming from camera. When compared to 35inch film, lenses may give the same field of vision with no cropping thanks to more optics in the body.
